Rumors fly as their wedding approaches, leaving Tyler in a bind. Does he confront Angela or take the plunge, marry her, and hope she hasn’t been lying to him?

Review:

This series keeps getting better.
I like to read more about all the characters from the other books and getting to know new details about the main couple of rthis one.

The third rumor is about Tyler and Angela. They are already in a relationship and it looks like they are the real deal...could this news destroy their trust in each other?

I really loved to read about the wedding and all the planning our heroine did, and without any stress and pressure for me it was even more enjoyable.

**Warning - As a domestic violence survival story, this novel may contain triggers.**

Review:

Inescapable was definitely a five stars read for me.
It took me on an emotional roller coaster and it was really difficult to go back to the real world when I turned the last page and closed the book.

Life wasn't lenient with our heroine,I wanted to help her during her journey but I didn't need to,because our anguished hero supported her, letting her grow confident and strong into her body and her mind.

I can't recommend this (and other C.J. Fallowfield's) book enough, brace yourself for this ride.

Speakeasy by Sarina Bowen

Release Date: 05.29.2018

Synopsis:

Sometimes you fall for Mr. Right. And sometimes for Mr. Right Now…

May

Did you hear the one about the girl who walks into a bar and catches her live-in lover kissing someone else? No? You’re the only one in town who missed it.
Luckily Alec is there to wrap me up in strong arms and carry me out the door before things get too ugly. And that’s not all Alec is good at. Our unexpected chemistry makes him the perfect rebound guy.

Alec

I should know better than to hook up with my rival’s little sister, but the fiery look in May’s eyes really turns my crank. She needs cheering up, and I’m just the guy for the job.

It’s not like I’ll fall in love. Not even after a string of scorching hot trysts, and the realization that we’re good at the same things: wild nights and familial disappointment. I don’t do love, never have, never will. So this is the perfect arrangement, for both of us.
Nobody would approve, but nobody has to know…

Review:

I loved this so much I couldn't stop reading until I turned the last page.

Speakeasy told the story of May,a recovering alcoholic, and Alec, a bar owner. They seems a weird couple, they definitely sounds like a bad bar joke but I assure you Sarina Bowen did her magic again delivering an emotional, funny and lovely novel.

I adored May and Alec friendship, their chemestry, their funny texts and reading about their journey was the highlight of my week end.
"Love is messy, unpredictable, and occasionally loud. And I wouldn’t have it any other way."

Excerpt:

Someone appears in my peripheral vision. I get half a glance at a lithe body and long hair as a woman appears and then just as quickly retreats.
Wait. Was that…?
I ease my way down the aisle, past the snowboard bags and ski duffels, and then I peer around the corner just in time to spot May Shipley exiting the store.
Several lengthy strides carry me right out the door after her. May has exquisite long legs, so she’s making good time escaping from me across the parking lot. I put two fingers in my mouth and make a cat-call whistle.
May halts midstride. Busted. She turns around and regards me with a sheepish smile.
God, just one smile from her and I feel better already. I raise a finger and beckon. Then I lean against the brick exterior of the shop and wait.
She lifts her chin and walks toward me.

“May Shipley,” I complain as she approaches. “Am I crazy or did you just leave the building to avoid me back there?”

She puts one hand over her pretty eyes and laughs. “Okay, you caught me. Don’t make me feel worse.”

“Do we have a problem, here?” I reach out and tag her hand, then pull her closer to me.

We’re toe to toe, though several layers of winter clothing separate us. Still, my whole body hums at the memory of her riding me in my truck. Gawd. So hot. “I get that our lawyer party date got a little crazy.”

“You think?” she squeaks. “I’m so embarrassed.”

“Why? So we had a little spur-of-the-moment sex. You really enjoyed my spur for a moment.”

“Omigod, stop.” May throws her head back and laughs. Her eyes dance, and I’m wearing a giant smile and feeling much more like myself.

“Don’t be embarrassed. I had a lot of fun.” That’s an understatement. I can’t stop thinking about it. Spontaneous truck sex with a long-legged beauty moaning on my dick? That night has made my personal hall of fame.

“Okay. I’ll try.” But the color in her cheeks is unmistakable. It’s cute as fuck.

“Come here.” I pull her into a hug, and she feels terrific against my body. “Let’s not be weird.”

May lifts her face in surprise. “I said that same thing to a good friend once.”

“Did it work?” I whisper because we’re so close together.

“Nope. Still weird.” She grins.

I laugh. And then I kiss her. I don’t even know how it happens. One second I’m just appreciating her smile, and the next second I’m owning it with my mouth.
May lets out a surprised whimper before her mouth softens under mine. I take my time kissing her until her hands spread the two halves of my jacket, finding my chest, gripping my flannel shirt. I need to taste her, so I part her lips with my tongue.
Suddenly my shoulder blades hit the bricks as May presses me up against the wall.
No, ma’am. I’ve just spent five nights imagining a scenario where our next encounter plays out in reverse—with me in charge. So I spin her around and back her up against the wall instead. And for good measure I pin her questing hands in mine, just because I can.
She makes a hungry noise, and I feel it in my balls. And then I dive back into her kisses, one of my thighs between her long legs.
May fights me, if by fighting me you mean she presses her hips against mine and gives me a nice, dirty grind.
I never liked the Shipleys, but now I realize I was hanging out with the wrong ones.
We lose our minds for several amazing minutes until the door of the ski shop opens suddenly. I take a quick step backward to preserve what’s left of our dignity.
Not that it works. We’re both flushed and panting, and I look like I’m trying to conceal a ski pole in the crotch of my jeans.
The young woman exiting the shop gives us a quizzical look as she bleeps the locks on her car.

“Jesus,” May breathes as we blink at each other.

“I know.” Every part of me is horny now. It’s cold outside, but I’m hot everywhere. My clothes feel constricting. I want to drag May back into my truck and have my way with her again.

“What are we doing?”

“Well, babydoll, we’re dry-humping each other in a parking lot.”

“Alec!” She reaches up, clapping a hand over my mouth. “That was a rhetorical question.”

I nod to show her I understand. But then I stick out my tongue and lick her palm where it’s pressed to my lips.

“Omigod, stop.” She removes her hand and wipes it on my flannel.

“You don’t really want me to. Admit it.”

“No, really I do.” Her embarrassed smile comes back. It’s so fucking cute. “I don’t need to be arrested for indecent exposure.”

“Fair enough. But that’s why you’re going to come over tonight. Late. Like eleven.” I’m supposed to be tending bar until ten and then closing up early, because it’s Sunday night.
“Why?”

“Why do you think? So I can strip you down and lick you all over until you’re screaming my—”

May puts that hand over my mouth again. “Anyone could hear you.”

“Nah,” I say from under her hand. She removes it. “I have brick walls at home. It helps with sound control. So even when my headboard starts to bang while I’m fucking you—”

She tries to cover my mouth again, but this time I catch her hand in midair, because I’m a sex ninja. And I hold it in mine. “Just come over. I’ve been thinking about you all week. Once wasn’t enough.” I lift her palm to my mouth and kiss it tenderly.

“Apparently not.” Her cheeks pink up. “But I really can’t get involved with anyone right now.”

“Duh.” I actually roll my eyes. “I’m your rebound lay. Relationships aren’t my style, and I’m allergic to commitment. So we’ll have exactly the same expectations—some very athletic sex.”

Her lips part on an dreamy expression, but then she snaps them closed again.

“Don’t overthink it, counselor. The judge orders you to his chambers at ten.”

Review:

I love Laura Barnard's books and I appreciate Andie M. Long's stories too so I jumped into this rom-com without a second thought.
Road Trip was an entertaining and hilarious read.

Out of necessity they decide to leave for a road trip together searching for a new school willing to hire them.
As you rightly assume this journey will be eventful and it will help our main characters to know each other better.
I hope to read more about them because I want to know their future.

Give it a go,you won't regret it!

Still Us by Lindsay Detwiler

Release Date: 05.19.2018

Synopsis:

From the first time they locked eyes, Lila Morrow and Luke Bowman had a special spark. Their first kiss sealed their fairy-tale romance… until everything fell apart.

Luke’s life began when he met Lila—and in many ways, it ended when she left him. Drowning in regrets, Luke is determined to give Lila the space to be happy. The sexy, singing roofer quickly realizes, however, he really shouldn’t have let her go.

After their breakup, Lila moves back in with her family. The twenty-nine-year-old veterinarian’s transition to a life without Luke isn’t as easy as she expected. With the help of her wild Grandma Claire and her high-heel-loving sister, Maren, she starts to play the field… but she isn’t sure she’ll ever stop loving the curly-haired man from her early twenties.

Luke and Lila’s love story ended, and their individual boxes have been packed. But as they explore the single life and the dating world, both discover sometimes the love you leave behind is exactly what you need to be happy.

Review:

Still Us was an interesting read.
It tells the story of two lost soul mates and the journey that will take them to happiness.

Luke and Lila took the hardest decision of their lives leaving their love nest and their relationship behind starting to live without the other.
Even living apart they still think to each other and their love story but their longing will be enough to overcome their differences and to change their minds going back to each other??

I have once again appreciated Lindsay Detwiler writing and all the characters especially the exuberant grandma.

Excerpt:

It’s not too late. It’s only been a few days. Maybe it’s not too late.

But then I think about those final words I said, and the ultimate nail in the coffin. I think about that look in her eyes when I took that last box out of the apartment. It was a teary look and a pleading look. Still, somewhere in there, I saw something else.

A look of hope.

Maybe this is what Lila needed all along. Maybe I was an idiot for thinking I could be good enough for her, could be what she needed. I’m too far gone for that, too far lost to be the man Lila Morrow deserves. It’s about time I figured that out.

But it doesn’t make this shitty feeling in my chest any more bearable. It doesn’t make me want to stop drinking beer after beer, to go out there and live life.

The thought that Lila is no longer mine makes me want to do exactly what I’ve done for the two days since moving into Evan’s bachelor pad—sit, stare, and fade into nothingness.

No matter what Evan says, I’m not going to just forget about Lila. I’m not going to merge into the bachelor life seamlessly.

I’m not going to stop missing her and wondering how I could’ve stopped this train wreck from imploding.

I’m not going to stop wishing I could get her back but remembering that she’s better off without me.

So I stare at the television until I nod off, the morning alarm rousting me and Floyd from the plaid couch for the first time in half a day. I drag myself to the shower and finally rinse off the residue from the breakup days ago. I wash away the Luke I was with Lila and try to start fresh.

But the new start I thought we’d both get doesn’t feel too great, I realize, as I trudge out the door to work.

Their journey is intriguing and engaging you cannot turn the pages quick enough.

First time I read a novel from these two authors but their amazing words made me a fan instantly.

Review:

The Ruthless Gentleman was a nice, interesting and engaging read.

Avery Walker is an american stewardess on the yacht chartered by the londoner mogul Hayden Wolf. They can't come from two more different worlds but their lust and attraction is crystal clear from their first meeting on the glistening deck.
Their relationship develops slowly but this make the forbidden liaison between the client and the employee far more realistic.

I recommend to read this book if you want a glimpse of Summer during this crazy Spring.

Make Coffee Hottie fall in love with me

Yeah, this shouldn’t be difficult at all.

Review:

Bittersweet was such a pleasure to read,it's sweet, cute, funny and I've said sweet??

Romy is a wedding blogger and Elio is her favorite barista, they seem perfect for each other but their insecurities and their previous bad love experiences put a brake on their growing attraction.
I've really enjoyed these characters journey and I couldn't help but to cheer for them from start to end.

I hope to read more from this author duo because I need the story of two certain supporting characters.

Excerpt:

Confident I no longer look like a cave troll, I grab my keys and wallet and rush downstairs. Elio is just turning the sign in the window when I virtually slam my body against it because I was running full-tilt down the stairs, and I can’t slow my velocity. He gives a startled laugh, and I flame bright red.

Elio abandons his ‘closed sign and opens the door.“Hey.”
“Hi. Sorry about that.”

“Couldn’t wait to see me, huh?” His eyes burn with mischief. I blush and desire arcs through me, because really, it should be illegal for anyone to look that delicious in jeans and a T-shirt with a dishtowel slung over his shoulder.

“Ha! Yeah.” I shake my head.“I mean no. I mean, Coffee. I’m lagging. Please, I’m really sorry. I know you’re closed and you wanna get home, and why wouldn’t you? It’s not like you want to stay at the shop all day when there’s wine to drink and cheese to nibble and classic books to read.”

He frowns.“That’s your impression of me? That I nibble cheese while reading classic literature.”

“And the wine,” my mouth supplies unhelpfully.

He chuckles.“You may need a crash course in what men do after work. Here’s a hint: it’s not nibbling anything. Unless, of course, it comes to ear lobes.”

Oh, wow. Okay. I would definitely prefer that to an expensive gouda.

He grins.“Come on. I’ll do you better than just a coffee.”

“Excuse me?” I squeak.

Now he laughs outright.“Relax,Romy. My nonna is here, my sister too, and a bossy four-year-old. I promise, I won’t bite.”

Not even if I want you to?

Release Date: 05.03.2018

Synopsis:

I had it all—the dream job, a wonderful boyfriend, a fabulous life.

Dr. West.
He and his regimented spreadsheets and rude attitude were more than anyone should have to take.
If that jerkface thought he could order me around, he’d better think again.
Then one day I discovered his secrets, which explained why he acted the way he did.
I never expected my heart to soften towards him so much.
I never expected to have such sexy dreams about him.
Nor did I expect to want him the way I did.
But he was my boss, older than me, and off-limits.
And if I wasn’t careful, everything, including my heart, would go up in flames.

Review:

From Ashes To Flames was a nice read.

Marin and Greydon can't be more different from each other but that only makes them even more perfect and they are complementary. The broody 41 year old doctor found his match with the colorful mid twenties nanny.
Their love story was a slow burn, and thanks to that it was more believable, but the pace was never dragging,on the contrary there were a couple of plot twists that kept me on my toes while reading.

This story grabbed and held my attention from start to end.I think this author has a real talent to write about kids because her little characters always tug at my heartstrings.
I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Doppelbanger by Heather M. Orgeron

Synopsis:

Doppelbanger; A person who bangs someone solely because they look similar to another person they want to bang.

At thirty-five, Gina Bourque is still playing the field. If he’s single, in his early twenties with dark hair and brooding eyes, there’s a damn good chance you’ll find him in her little black book.

We all know what happens when you play with fire. . . someone’s bound to get burned.

Review:

Doppelbanger was a great read.
I've really enjoyed this novel, I laughed, I swooned and I've shed some tears too.

Gina and Jeffrey met on a cruise and they try to resist to their attraction because they can't be more wrong for each other. They are worlds apart from each other,a sassy single sex therapist the first and a stiff widower and father of two beautiful girls the second but they have a thing in common they both are also emotional unavailable, albeit for very different reasons.

Their journey is funny and at times also emotional and the reader cannot not to be invested into this read. The pages are full of entertaining characters, especially the lively kids, that will keep your attention from start to end.

This was my first book written by Heather M. Orgeron and I've already added her previous titles to my TBR list...I'm so curious to read Spencer's story.
