Release Date: 04.17.2020 Synopsis: Favourite Hello. Hardest Goodbye Ellis. I feel him. Before I even lay eyes on him, I sense him. The air in the room seems charged, my awareness of him heightened, but he is a stranger to me. Unfamiliar, yet familiar. Unknown, yet known. And something inside me says, “Hello, I’ve been waiting for you.” Macsen. I see him. I've seen him a hundred times before and I know this will not be the last, but each time I do, I feel it. That invisible tether. I remember everything. I remember him. His eyes lock with mine and then move away too quickly. I am nothing more than a stranger, another face in the crowd. While he is my favourite hello, and my hardest goodbye. Review: I trust E.S. Carter’s writing so much that I usually go into her books blind. I didn’t need to read the blurb to know that Favourite Hello. Hardest Goodbye. would have been a good novel but, still, I was struck by its beauty. Macsen and Ellis came from two opposite worlds, a businessman f

Agony Auntics by Julie Butterfield

Review: This was a very good read, the first time I read this author's work and I was really engaged in her story and writing. There are lots of laugh out loud moments but there's also an heartbreaking episode in the past of one of the characters, so be aware if you have some triggers. This is for the most part a funny, lovely story with a very little part that will make you shed some tears. Agony Auntics follow the journey of two women who are at different stages of their lives. Ellie fell in love at first sight with a collegue but she is too shy to go and talk to him so she seeks some advices from a well known agony aunt, Fliss. Ellie's email reminds Fliss of the beginnin

The Dare by Elle Kennedy

Release Date: 06.16.2020 Synopsis: College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes. But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see. And

Release Date: 04.30.2020 Synopsis: Axel: Playing for the Seattle Sockeyes is a dream come true. Yet in less than twenty-four hours, my life is a hot mess, and my dream has turned into a nightmare. It all starts when I have a one-night stand with my teammate's estranged wife, only I'm not aware she's married, let alone his wife. Now she's stalking me, my teammate hates me, and I'm madly attracted to his sister. Not a situation I'd wish on anyone, especially me.   Review: Blocked was a very good read. This is the second book in the series but you can read it without any problem as a stand alone. I really liked the main characters, especially the heroine. Axel is a rookie called up to play for the Seattle Sockeyes who ends falling for a teammate’s sister, even if Geneva is pretty badass and not the usual naive virgin character they still have some hurdles to overcome and there’s still a bro code that can’t be broken. Oh my this was the mother of all slow burns in t

The Play by Natalie Wrye

Release Date: 05.07.2020 Synopsis: Baseball god Sevin Smith is no longer just the noisy bachelor living above me. Now he’s the MVP client I have to protect from a paternity scandal, and I'm not exactly thrilled that my boss has me on the case. That’s fine. I can pretend and work with a man who’s become my enemy. But what I can’t pretend is not to be attracted to him. Not to fall for his sexy laugh and easy smile. And I definitely can’t pretend I’m not falling for the spunky eight year old kid that may or may not be his. Yes, I admit it: Becoming enemies with your neighbor—the sexy sports star—is never a good idea. But falling in love with him might be the worst idea of all… Review: The Play is the first book in a new series by Natalie Wrye, but it is also a spin off so we already met the main characters in the Manhattan Nights series. I was curious and excited to go visit Chicago and to know better Emily and Sevin. Emily is a lawyer, and Sevin is a famous baseball player, they live

Release Date: 06.05.2020 Synopsis: What’s the worst present you can get for your 45th birthday? An online dating profile you didn’t want. And Mack was all set to delete it, until a message from Hayden lands in his inbox. Hayden decided the best way to celebrate ending a long, loveless marriage was to have a one-night stand. Pity she didn’t count on a sexy, fire chief foiling her plans. Neither of them wanted a relationship, such a shame fate didn’t get the memo. Review: From my 5 stars rating you can easily understand I loved this novel and I highly recommend it. I read a lot of different romances sub genres, from young adult to contemporary, but I have to admit that when characters are near my age is easier to relate to them. One Click Love is a story about two divorced in their fourties who found each other on a dating app. Hayden is an employee at Target, Mack is a firefighter, they think they don't have any time nor desire to fall in love after the failure of their previous mar
