Synopsis:

Defusing bombs is what he does, but can Adam stop his relationship with Evie from blowing up?

Staff Sergeant Adam Taylor is an explosives expert in the British Army but his relationship with Evie is a ticking time bomb. After thirteen years they find themselves in the trenches of change. Will they survive?

Adam

At 17 I knew Evie was the one. All the missing pieces in me, the broken bits of being orphaned and unloved, she filled. All I’ve ever wanted is to give her EVERYTHING. But now she wants me to leave the army so that we can start a family, but the military is all I know, and the only way I know how to provide...I’m not sure I can walk away from it or her.

Evie

I’ll never forget the day I met Adam, and we laughed at the irony of our names...it felt like fate. When we met I was lost and found all at once. Ours is the real deal, the kind of love story that makes people roll their eyes. But it’s been thirteen years. It’s time to start a family, but a family means Adam needs to quit his dangerous job and I don’t think he can.

Review:

Trust me was a great read.

I liked the book premise and how the story progressed, it was hard to put it down. Cindi Page words sparked my heart with all the emotions and feelings for these beautiful characters and their story.

Adam and Evie are high school sweethearts, he is the foster care kid who chose to enlist at seventeen, she is the only child of a caring family. Now, after thirteen years, Evie got fed up of waiting for Adam, she wants to start a family but Adam is yet not ready to leave the army, so she decides to break up. When Adam realises she is serious, he will try with his every means to get the love of his life back.

I was able to empathize with Evie, her loneliness and rage are understandable but I can also agree with Adam willingness to work hard and his desire to succeed becoming a man worth of Evie love. This couple deserved to be happy because Adam and Evie are perfect for each other, they complement each other, and they are each other safe place and home.

This book is for anyone who enjoys epic love stories.
