Review:

A Laird for the Highland Lady is a very good read. I enjoyed it, but I also was a little sad to say goodbye to these characters and to the beautiful Scottish landscape.

Eilidh and Max meet in London when they are escorting their brother and sister. Their relationship is an emotional rollercoaster. At times they seem cosy, but the next moment they seem annoyed by the other. Will they keep a civil relationship long enough to help their relatives?

I adored how much Eilidh knows Max, maybe better than he does. She makes him understand his self worth, she often tells him like it is, but at least she breaks through his soul. They share a deep attraction but they don't show it until late in the story.

Catherine Tinley wrote the last novel in the Lairds of the Isles series exceptionally well. I was able to immerse myself into the story as if I was there, thanks to the detailed descriptions of the life of the characters and the places they live. The romance is a slow burn, but it's understandable because the storyline is set in London and on the Scottish island of Benbecula.

I loved this series and I would recommend to read all the three books, but they can easily be read as standalone.
