Her Unforgettable Knight by Melissa Oliver

Synopsis:

She never forgot him…

Can she ever forgive him?

Marguerite never expected to see Savaric again—let alone to have to help him when she finds him outnumbered in a fight.

He’s the brooding knight she fell for two years ago…until he left her unexpectedly.

Now Marguerite is a hardened spy and wary of trusting him again.

But how long can she resist their connection when they must work together to protect the Crown?

Review:

Her Unforgettable Knight tells the story of Savaric Fitz Leonard, a knights of the King, and Marguerite Studdal, impoverished noblewoman, that try to find who's conspiring against the crown.

Savaric and Marguerite meets again after two years. They aren't happy for how they left things in the past, so they aren't too enthusiastic when they find out they have to work together.

I loved these characters, they are written perfectly. Savaric is broody and serious, Marguerite is acute and strong headed, they are great together. I appreciated how Marguerite fearless attitude helped Savaric to finally recognise his real worth. I was really involved in their lives, I felt their emotions into my bones, and wished for their happily ever after throughout the book.

Melissa Oliver writing was really good, the storyline well crafted, and the suspense made me chew my fingernails.

This book is the third in the series but it could be read as a standalone, but I suggest to read the other novels too because every Knights Fortitude story deserves to be read.
