One Shameless Night by A.M. Hargrove

Release Date: 09.05.2019

The first time I saw Alessandro, two things came to mind.
Sexy and naked.
You get the idea.

Thanks to him, my flight from hell became the best one I’d ever been on.
Turned out, the engaging, gorgeous passenger, was my new professor…and the ultimate jerk.

Rude, prick, cocksucker, were a few choice names I’d love to call him.
How was this offensive man the same human I’d met on the plane?

His soul must’ve been invaded by demons after leaving the airport.
To think I’d almost joined the mile high club with him. Almost.
Everywhere I went he was there raining more insults on me.

Until I saw him with his adorable mini look-alike.
That charming little boy melted my heart.
Before I knew it, I’d accepted his son’s invitation to play soccer.

What the hell was I thinking?
I hated that man.

But naked and sexy had gotten me into this mess.
And not even hate could get me out.

One Shameless Night was a nice, smexy read but it was also intense at times. There are some triggering scenes so be aware.

Piper and Alessandro meet on a flight from the United States to the UK.She is inconsolable after she had to leave her family behind to go to finish college but Alessandro will find a way to make her forget for a little while her sadness. They still don't know that fate is playing with them indeed they meet again the day after in a college class where he is the professor and she is the student.
Their relationship is doomed but that's only the start. Will they overcome the obstacles they meet on their way ot will they prefere to not make their lives mor complicated for the short time they have to see each other?

I really like A.M. Hargrove writing and after I've read the epilogue I'm already curious to read her next book.

He's SAS, and her best friend.

Soon Jamie finds herself not only fighting against her enemies, but her feelings for a man who left her once before. Can she risk losing him all over again?

Four years ago I've read a book written by a new to me author and I fell in love because Fighting Redemption was perfect, some loyal characters, a bunch of soldiers, a terrible war and a fantastic writing style. So when I've found out that Kate McCarthy was writing Fighting Absolution I couldn't hold back my joy and excitement.

I already know I'll never make this story justice with my review so I recommend to read it for yourself and to feel it in your bones, and to let it destroy you and to heal you in the end.

This was a beautiful read and it easily became the best book I've read this year.

After an early night, I wake in the morning with my body sagging into the ground. “What the hell?”

I roll and flail, my air mattress squeaking like a little bitch.

Bear laughs and I turn. He’s watching me, thoroughly amused. “I’m not here for your entertainment,” I hiss, my back aching from an uncomfortable sleep.

“Someone needs her coffee.”

“Did you poke a hole in my mattress?”

“No, but there’s something poking a hole in my—”

“For the love of god!” I rise up, the knife from beneath my pillow in hand. “I’m gonna stab yours just for that.”

“No!” He laughs, half-rising from his own bed, warding me off with his massive paws. “That damn thing is probably why you woke up on the ground.”

I lunge across the tent, my knife jabbing straight into his inflatable mattress. It tears a long, deep gash in the corner. Air hisses out in a wheezy rush. “What in the actual fuck?” he houts, falling back with a stunned laugh. “You’re such a bitch!”

The knife drops from my hand, and I double over, gasping with laughter while the airbed deflates around him, sinking him slowly to the ground.

“Now neither of us have a bed!”

“Oh well.” I tuck my knife away. “We can start on those bottles of red tonight until we can’t feel a damn thing, and then it won’t matter.”

I unzip the tent and step out, my jaw cracking from a yawn that stretches my face. “Bring me coffee!” he orders from inside the tent.

I turn my head, sneaking a glance his way. He’s standing over his duffel bag, clad in nothing but a tight pair of bright blue cotton boxer-briefs. It’s almost a physical punch. I linger a moment before I look away, back to the ocean, trying to dispel the image, but my mind won’t let it go. The wide, muscled shoulders, his tattooed arms, the thick washboard abs, his body scarred from combat and a lifetime of hard and heavy training.

I shiver with a sense of longing and have to remind myself that it’s just Bear as I start on the coffee. The same Bear who laughed his ass off when I tripped on the edge of the jetty in Broome and fell in the water. The one who snores like a freight train after one too many beers. The one slowly turning into a mountain man because he hasn’t shaved since we left. The very same Bear who tips his head back each night in his camp chair and makes me scratch his head with my nails while he sits there and whimpers like a little girl.

Release Date: 09.06.2019

Cassidy’s a fighter, designed to survive.

After the crushing death of her parents, she persevered. When she caught her fiancé with another woman, she held her head high and moved on. Fighting always came easy, because she never had to do it alone.

She had Liam.
Her best friend. Her protector. Her rock.

But every bond has its breaking point, and they found their’s... with a kiss. One weak moment upturns the foundation of their relationship, making Cassidy look at Liam in a whole new light.

Now, she has a choice to make. Is the shift from friends to lovers even possible? Or will Cassidy lose the one person she can’t live without?

I've read a couple of friends to lovers books lately but I wasn't bored at all because the stories are so different that even if they share the same trope.
Worth The Fight was a nice read that kept me glued to my reader for a whole day.

Cassidy and Liam have been friends for ages, they went to the same high school and college, they are so tight that sometime they raise the jealousy of their lovers.
When Cassidy's love life becomes a little harder the only person she wants next to her is her best friend.
Now that they are closer than ever their relationship grows and blooms. Will they take the risk and become something more or will they keep their friendship unspoilt?

Rachael Brownell wrote a very good story with her unique style,I recommend to give it a try.

I feel like I've been slapped across the face. Blindsided.

This couldn't have been the first time they fucked each other. It had to have been going on for a while. How did I not see it? Unless I was at work, I was generally with one of them. Between wedding planning and social engagements, Garrett and I were busy. Kendra was right there with us, helping with the little details. Offering to take care of things for me when the end of the school year had me stressed out.

If they had been sneaking around, I would have seen the signs. Right?

Does it even matter now?

Watching her ride him was enough. There's no doubt in my mind after seeing that. No matter when it started or how long it's been going on, they can have each other now. I want nothing to do with either of them.

I should have called them out when I caught them. Instead, I ran. Right out the closest set of doors and into Liam's firm chest. My face must have said it all. One look at me and he swooped me up in his arms and carried me away, leaving his date hollering after us.

My eyes were locked on the church as he drove past. My heart broke a little more when I spotted Liam's father out front. Probably looking for me. Waiting to walk me down the aisle.
I'll have to apologize to him later. To explain why I disappeared. But not yet. I'm not ready. It was hard enough to get the words out when Liam finally asked what happened. At least with him, I didn't have to sugarcoat things or watch my language.

I found Garrett fucking Kendra.

That was my answer. Plain and simple. And because he knows me better than anyone else, he knew not to push me any further. Not that I could have answered any questions if he had asked them.

I don't know what would possess my best friend to fuck my future husband. I don't know what they were thinking. I'm not sure what I did to deserve their betrayal.

The Kiss by Natalie Wrye

Release Date: 09.05.2019

“Admit it. Admit that you wanted that kiss as much as I did.”

I wish someone would have warned me about my best friend Deacon Cross when we were nine.

Because nearly sixteen years later, the only man I’ve forbidden myself to cross that line with still doesn’t understand my rules of friendship.

Best friends aren’t supposed to kiss.

They’re not supposed to dream of having insanely hot sex while working together, either. And they’re definitely not supposed to keep secrets.

And now I wish I had warned myself about this two days ago. Right before Deacon kissed me for the second time. And all of the rules changed…

I've really enjoyed this story.
I love friends to lovers trope and if you like it too I recommend to read The Kiss as soon as possible.

Deacon and Kayla are best friends, they met when they were nine years old and they share the same birthday. When they hit puberty their relationship becomes strained and year after year they grow apart. They meet years later in New York, and the chemistry between them is undeniable, they feel the need to kiss each other but kissing your best friend is against Kayla rules.
Will she forget her rules and start to live risking?Or will she lose her best friend in order to live following her strict rules?

I liked how the past flash backs help the reader to know better these beautiful characters.

This Is Love by Natasha Madison

Release Date: 09.03.2019

Never fall in love.
That was my motto, and I was sticking to it.
Having my heart broken once was enough, and I never wanted to do it again.
He was supposed to be a one-night stand, the only thing I do.
One rule shouldn’t be so hard to follow, but then I went back for seconds, then thirds.

After that, I lost count of the number of times I lost myself in his arms.
When I wasn’t paying attention, my guard slipped.

They call me Private Mark for a reason—my whole life is a secret.
For two years, we danced around each other until I got her right where I wanted her ... under me.
Now that I had her, I wasn't letting her go. I thought we were on the same page.
I thought we were building something great.

Boy, was I ever wrong.

I had no idea that while I was falling in love, she was trying to convince herself we were temporary.
She thought I’d walk away.

She was wrong.

Now it's time to convince her she wants us too and to show her that the crazy, wild thing we have ... This Is Love.

This book was a delight to read.

I loved the characters.
We already met Vivienne in the previous books, she is the hilarious, witty and beautiful french woman and Karrie's friend but Mark is the very surprise of this story because he is so private we didn't know anything about him from the other books in the series.
He is the real deal,he is nice, charming and a half greek half italian hot hockey player.
Their relationship is easy and quickly escalated to something more important and demanding than a fling but are they ready for a serious commitment and a forever love?

I recommend to read this story and to fall in love with this characters. It's the third book in this series but it could be read as a standalone.
