The Matchmaker And The Cowboy by Robin Bielman

Immagine
Synopsis: Callie Carmichael has a gift for making bridesmaid dresses—some even call them  magical . Somehow, every person who’s worn one of her dresses has found love.  Real  love. And as long as that happily-ever-after is for someone else, Callie is happy. Because she’s fully over getting her heart broken…which is why her new roommate is  definitely  going to be a problem. After being overseas for six months, Callie’s only choice is to stay with her best friend’s ridiculously hot brother, Hunter Owens. Cowboy, troublemaker, and right now, the town’s most coveted bachelor. Only, Hunter isn’t  quite  the player she thought. And if it weren’t for her whole “no more love” thing, their setup could get confusing  really  fast. Now, Hunter wants Callie to make him a best man suit—a “lucky for love” kind of suit. But what happens if she makes the suit and he finds true love…and it isn't her? Review: The Matchmaker And The Cowboy is a charming and enjoyable romance. Callie is back in Win

A Stolen Knight's Kiss by Melissa Oliver

Immagine
Synopsis: Captured by a knight… Rescued by his kiss! When orphan Eva loses the father figure who’d protected her on the streets of London, she suspects the Knights Fortitude. But when she steals information from them, she’s caught by brooding knight Nicholas. Learning he might not be the villain after all, she puts her distrust aside to work with him, yet Eva must stay focused—and not get distracted when they share a stolen kiss!  Review: Nicholas D'amberly is a crown knight, Eva Siward is a thief paid to stole an important, secret missive from Sir Nicholas, what could go wrong?  A Stolen Knight's Kiss was an intriguing, suspenseful and also an amusing read. I read a lot of historical romance, but very few of them from different ages than the Regency one, so I was sceptical about this, but it took me very little time to get into it. Melissa Oliver's writing was a pleasant discovery, her characters were well developped, they caught my attention and I was involved into thei

Snowed In With The Player by Rebecca Jenshak

Immagine
Synopsis: It was supposed to be a weekend of holiday cheer. Just me and my twin sister, watching Christmas movies and baking cookies. My brother was absolutely not supposed to show up with half the football team. Including Teddy. My brother’s best friend and my secret crush. I’m the shy sister. The one with her nose stuck in a book and quoting every word of Elf, not the one getting attention from guys like Teddy. He’s cool and smart and so handsome I could die. The only thing that could make things worse is if I got snowed in with him. Alone. Review: Snowed In With The Player was a nice, enjoyable and festive read. Rebecca Jenshak wrote this novella wonderfully, the writing was perfectly executed, and even if it's short it didn't feel rushed. I was sucked right into the story and I grew attached to the characters. I liked Holly so much, she is shy and her crush for her brother's teammate is so cute. Teddy is really cute too and the two together are sweet and hot. I highly

Play Smart by Aly Stiles

Synopsis: Nash Ellis knows music. Producing, performing, writing—if it involves the creative process he’s there for it. He knows nothing about copy machines. Or financial reports. Or anything related to the stuck-up business world his best friends have been chasing since they were kids. But Nash also needs money, so when his roommate gets him a paid internship at Reedweather Media, he reluctantly agrees. At least his know-it-all intern competitor is kind of cute in a nerdy-librarian sort of way—especially when she’s being tormented by an angsty rocker she can’t stand. The only thing Paige Andrews hates more than failure? Nash Ellis. She has little patience for incompetence and zero tolerance for indifference. He clearly doesn’t belong in their corporate world, so why does he insist on ruining her dream job? And the worst part—he’s not what he seems. In fact, it’s all the things he’s hiding behind those electric blue eyes that make him straight-up captivating in an ironic-slacker sort

Clara's Secret Garden by Rosie Green

But life is never straight forward – especially in matters of the heart – and soon, a devastating revelation looks set to bring Clara's hopes for the future crashing down around her. Will she find the strength to reach for her dreams? Review: Clara's Secret Garden is the first book in the trilogy that follows Clara Bowes' journey. Clara lives at home with her selfish step mother, self- centered step sister and her little half brother. She has put her life in hold in order to take care of her brother, and to protect him after his father died. When Clara decides to fix up her grondmother yard she didn't expect to meet and to get the help of her high school crush. Rosie Green knows how to write captivating characters. Clara took a piece of my heart, her story is

One Week Wingman by Lila Monroe

Synopsis: Sebastian Wainwright is handsome, British, and charming… and the last man you can rely on. Bartending at Mavericks, I’ve seen his love-em-and-leave-em routine up close, and I know better than to become another notch on his king-sized bedpost. But when a little white lie catches up with me, it turns out that Seb is exactly the man I need for the job… Posing my fake boyfriend for the week. See, I invented The Perfect Man (TM) to keep my interfering family off my case, but now I’m back home for my high-school reunion, my sister is (surprise!) engaged to my ex, and I’m first in line to win Biggest Disappointment. I need Mr. Perfect to roll up and save me from humiliation, and since he doesn’t exist, I’ll just have to settle for New York’s biggest playboy instead. A cocktail of disaster? That’s what I figure, but as we’re swept up in small-town shenanigans, family drama, and tipsy treehouse takedowns (don’t ask), I find there’s more to Seb than just charm and come-to-bed-eyes. A

Tall, Dark, and Dreamy by A.M. Hargrove

Synopsis: He's tall, sexy...and a total prick. Sign me up. Helper. Problem-solver. Situation savior. It's who I am--and what I do. But when I meet the sexy, rugged, and totally irresistible British guitarist, everything goes into overdrive. I want him--possibly crave him. And I'm hellbent on fixing everything he's facing. There's only one small problem.  Gabriel Knight  wants nothing to do with me or my savvy solutions to his agony. The more I try; the worse he gets. As his neighbor, his acquaintance, and his drooling fan, I'm not giving up. Tall, dark, and dreamy just needs to get on board and know what I've known all along: we're going to be explosive in the bedroom for years to come. Now, he just needs to succumb to everything I want. Review: Tall, Dark and Dreamy is Ravina Baines' story. We met her and her brothers in some previous books, but this book could be read as a stand-alone. Ravina likes the singer at his brother's wedding at first

Into The Storm by Rachel Grant

Immagine
Synopsis: As a storm rolls in, a team of elite Navy SEALs arrives at a remote lodge for a wilderness training exercise that becomes terrifyingly real... Xavier Rivera planned the exercise down to the smallest detail, but he didn't plan the arrival of archaeologist Audrey Kendrick—a woman he shared a passionate night with before betraying her in the worst way. As the storm is unleashed on the historic lodge it becomes clear the training has been compromised. Trapped by weather, isolated by the remote wilderness, and silenced as communication with the world has been severed, unarmed SEALs face an unexpected and deadly foe. Audrey and Xavier must set aside their distrust and desire and work together to save a team under fire and survive in a battle against the wild. Review: Into The Storm was an incredible, suspenseful journey for survival that hooked me at first paragraph. A Navy SEAL, Xavier Rivera, and an Olympic National Park's archaeologist, Audrey Kendrick, don't see e

A Little Too Late by Sarina Bowen

Immagine
Synopsis: How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office: One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years. Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret. Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.) Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub. Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules. Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a  little too late… Review: A Little Too Late was an enjoyable read, I had some good laughs reading it, and I also shed few tears. When Reed Madigan finds out that his estranged father wants to sell his properties on Madigan Mountain he knows he has to come back home and check if the settlement isn't a scam. He doesn't exp
