A Little Too Late by Sarina Bowen

Synopsis:

How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office:

One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years.

Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret.

Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.)

Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub.

Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules.

Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a little too late…

Review:

A Little Too Late was an enjoyable read, I had some good laughs reading it, and I also shed few tears.

When Reed Madigan finds out that his estranged father wants to sell his properties on Madigan Mountain he knows he has to come back home and check if the settlement isn't a scam. He doesn't expect to meet his ex girlfriend Ava at his family resort.
Ava after a difficult time at college, she decides to start anew in Colorado working at his ex's family hotel. She has regained some happiness but when after ten years she sees Reed into her office she has to face her past, trying to save some pieces of her heart.

I got emotional reading how Reed and Ava broke up, they loved each other so much they didn't deserve those hard times. I was so happy for their second chance to change their future.
I liked to see Reed grow and understand he never faced his grief, and how he works to rekindle his relationship with Ava.

Sarina Bowen wrote a good novel filled with a beautiful mountain landscape, interesting characters, intriguing gossip and a lovely second chance at love storyline.

I'd like to read the following books, in order to find out how the other two Madigan brothers come home.
