Doctor's Secret Santa by Clara Pines

Synopsis:

He’s the town doctor. But a mysterious young widow might be his prescription for true love.

When Dr. Kellan Webb is offered the opportunity to trade in his job at a fancy city hospital and take over the small practice in his hometown, he’s overjoyed. Working one-on-one with patients and raising his son close to his family will more than make up for the pay cut. And Kellan always has a plan for the future. Sure, his brothers might tease him for being so serious all the time, but Kellan knows there’s nothing funny about shouldering his responsibilities like a man.

Then a beautiful young pregnant woman arrives at his house in the middle of the night with a terrified look on her face and snow in her hair, and Kellan’s whole world is turned upside down.

Suddenly, Daisy is working as a receptionist for his practice, winning over his most obstinate new patients to his way of doing things, and turning every meal into a laugh-fest with his lovestruck seven-year-old son. Though she has every reason to be sad and serious, Daisy’s light heart and easy-going nature are putting the whole town under her spell.

The only problem is that Daisy seems to have a secret. And Kellan doesn’t like surprises.

When the truth finally surfaces, will the doctor’s heart be too sick for any shot at love? Or will Daisy’s exuberance be just the medicine he needs?

Review:

What do you do when a very pregnant woman is on your doorstep looking for a place to stay for the night?
Dr. Kellan Webb can't let Daisy sleep into her car, so he decides to host her.
This is only the beginning of this nice story, will Daisy find a home in Trinity Falls? Will Kellan learn to trust another woman?

Daisy is really one of the sweetest and kindest woman I've ever read about. Kellan is a very good man, but he fears to open up his heart again. He immediately notices Daisy's beauty and the complicity between her and his young son.
I loved to see their relationship grow, from two strangers to friends, to finally recognise their feelings for each other.

I devoured this book. Clara Pines writing made me feel every emotions her characters feel, the storyline was heartwarming and the ending put a smile on my face.

While this is book six in the Trinity Falls series, you don't have to read the previous ones to understand this one. I still recommend to read more of this author works because they are all good.
