Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter by Clara Pines

 Synopsis:

They’re forced to share a home for the holidays, but only a miracle could make them share their hearts…

Single dad Ansel Williams is the strong, silent type. After losing his wife, he settled into a quiet life with his young son. Working the farm, spending time with his parents, and being there for his boy have kept him plenty busy for years. He has no need for a woman’s company.

But when the housesitter he canceled shows up anyway, just as the holidays are kicking in, Ansel’s compassion forces him to offer the pretty young woman and her daughter a place to stay.

Winona is distractingly beautiful, inspiringly energetic, and as kind-hearted as can be. And her very cool, skateboarding daughter makes his introverted son laugh like Ansel has never seen before. But there is no way he would ever risk upsetting things by doing something as silly as admitting his feelings.

When Ansel begins seeing glimpses of the city life his new guests left behind, he is more determined than ever to somehow resist the impossible attraction he feels for resilient and wonderful Winona, and the instant connection he has with her brave and complicated daughter.

Ansel is quick to open his home. But what will it take to make him open his heart before it’s too late?

Review:

When a lively single mother meets a quiet single father, and they have to share the same house you have to expect the sweetest, heartwarming story.

Winona decides to leave Philadelphia to ger her daughter away from some bad companies. They come to Trinity Falls for an house sitting deal, but Ansel doesn' have cancelled her services when he decided to not go on holiday, and now he has to choose between let Winona and Parker live with him and his son or let them go find a new accomodation. As the days pass their bond becomes deeper and deeper, the boundaries become blurred, will Winona and Ansel let each other into their hearts?

I loved Winona, Ansel, Parker and Lucas. These characters are really nice. The love between mother and daughter and father and son is tangible and beautiful. I adored even more the easy relationship that blooms between the kids, and between the kids and the parent of the other.
Winona and Ansel have a very good heart, unfortunately life hurt them so they decided to dedicate only to their children, but I was so glad to see how they slowly accepted their feelings for each other in order to become a real family.

I enjoy reading Clara Pines works, her writing is pleasant, soulful and inspiring.

I highly recommend Cowboy's Holiday Housesitter, it is a great addition to the Trinity Falls series, it could be read as a stand alone.
