Meant for Her by Natasha Madison

 Synopsis:

Christopher

I came from the biggest hockey family in the NHL.
Records were set by my grandfather, my father, and now my brother.
I was taught to love the game, but more than that, I learned early the men you play with are your family.
You get on the ice every night and protect them, celebrate the wins, and pick each other up when you fall.
So when we lost Benji, I stepped in to help his wife and kids, but this pull I feel when it comes to them is something more than I can even understand.

Dakota

My life was perfect, until it wasn’t.
Gone was the husband I thought I knew and in his place was a stranger.
I saw him change before my eyes.
Then he was gone, leaving me and our girls alone.
I wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything that took him away from me.
But no matter how many times I’ve told his best friend I don’t need help.
He’s here doing things for us, and the worst part is, I want him to.

Review:

Meant For Her was absolutely wonderful and emotional.

Dakota was not ready to open her heart to another man when her husband failed her and her two beautiful daughters, but fate had other plans for her. Christopher was Dakota's husband best friend, he never thought of Koda as more than a friend but he suddenly began to look at her with different eyes. Will they give a chance to this new relationship? Or will the hurt and the respect put a brake on their feelings?

Dakota is a resilient woman and an excellent mother, Christopher is a good man and his relationship with Koda's daughters made me swoon more than once. I got attached to this couple, their pain, their sense of guilt, their hesitancy to become a couple were so real, I hoped they really find their happiness.

Natasha Madison hasn't written anything yet that I didn't like, but this novel greatly touched me. It's not an easy task to write about addiction and cheating but this author made a good job showing the emotions that those who stay feel.

I highly recommend to read this book if you don't have any triggers and if you want to let these characters to steal your heart.
