Review:

The Earl's Inconvenient Houseguest was another great read, set at the Regency time, written by one of my favourite author of the genre. Virginia Heath crafted a very interesting story, a perfect blend of fun, hot and heartwarming writing, with an amazing group of characters.

Now that there is a new Lord of the manor Whittleston-on-the-water inhabitants fear for their future. They think they will lose their houses and their peace when Lord Hockley sell all his new acquired lands. Sophie Gilbert leads the resistance of the villagers against the unsuffereble Earl, but will she change her mind after she spends some time in his company?

Sophie and Rafe instantly became two of my favourite characters. I loved to read about a woman so assertive and strong, a woman who acts on her needs and especially about a woman who care about her home and neighbours so much to try to fight the abuses to protect them. Rafe was a great surprise for me, he looks surly and bashful but, actually, he has a kind, selfless heart that he tries to protect against slanderers.

This is a must read. I highly recommend this.
