The Earl She Should Never Desire by Lara Temple

Immagine
Synopsis: This very handsome earl…   Is the one man she  cannot  fall for… War widow Lily Walsh has left her aristocratic family behind, but she can’t deny her younger sister’s request to come to London to meet her fiancΓ©. Though not a love match, Lord Sherbourne is kind, amusing and ideal for her sister on paper. But as Lily gets to know him, she’s finding him alarmingly attractive! And the forbidden look in the earl’s eye shows the feeling is mutual… Review: I've enjoyed this book immensely. I didn't read the synopsis but I wasn't too surprised by the "triangle" trope because the title is quite revealing. I'm not too fond of this trope but I assure you there isn't cheating. Lily Walsh, a war widow, goes to London to meet Lord Marcus Sherbourne, her little sister's future husband. They study and assess each other, they are curious after they have heard about each other only from Annie's nice words, and they take a pleasant interest in each other.

The Debt by Natalie Wrye

Synopsis: LACHLAN Weddings are supposed to be fun—glamorous...aren't they?
I'm not so sure anymore. Because the second my best friend Drew tapped me to Best Man at his own NYC nuptials, I realized that I was in for one hell of a ride. Especially when it becomes clear that his younger, can't-stay-out-of-trouble sister Sabrina will be the Maid of Honor and I will have to keep my usually-busy hands off of her. Mostly, because she's my best friend's little sister. But more because she deserves better than a guy like me—a family screw-up with more secrets than good intentions. I am sure of one thing, though: I owe Drew for saving me from a lifetime of mistakes. It just didn't occur to me that Drew might have his own mistakes, too. Dangerous ones that push me closer to that sharp-tongued Sabrina... And closer to a ticking time bomb I never saw coming. Review: Lachlan left New York after he made a mistake that affected his family company, he wished to stay away for

Someone sweet, demure, charming… and definitely NOT like the spitfire who almost pulled him in front of a subway train and then dressed him down in front of a million viral video viewers.   Wannabe lipstick mogul, Callie Delgado, needs to find an investor for her makeup line - before her meagre savings run out. Playing girlfriend to a rich trust fund guy ? Crime Writer by Dime Sheppard

Synopsis: Evie Howland has problems. Guns. Bombs. Murderers. And that's just on the page... In real life she's meant to be planning a wedding to adorable billionaire Daniel Bradley, but Evie is seriously snarled in the sixteenth book of her successful crime series. In fact, her protagonists are becoming almost impossible to wrangle: NYPD detective Carolyn Harding is volatile after a messy divorce, and Detective Jay Ryan has that heated look in his blue eyes again. They're both sick of being written. And frankly they're getting a little...physical. Evie is beginning to wonder if she's ever going to finish Book Sixteen and get them back into fiction where they belong. But when a disturbingly familiar homicide surfaces in the city papers, it seems as if other, darker characters might have crossed the fiction-frontier too. In which case, Evie is in a lot of real-life trouble. If she's going to survive it, Evie must face her own worst fears, and learn that real lov

Two For Holding by Lasairiona McMaster

Synopsis: Defenseman. Devoted. Dad. Player on and off the ice, Russell Stewart’s life was upended when his girlfriend got pregnant and left him holding the baby. Two years later, he’s finally moved on, gotten back on track, and is balancing his life as a father, student, and hockey player like a professional juggler. His daughter Jude is his entire world. He has no time for distractions. Especially a funny, brilliant, and bubbly woman with a penchant for musicals. Regaining trust after heartbreak is hard. Can Russell protect his daughter, and his heart, when his past comes back to haunt him? Review: I've enjoyed this story so much, the single dad trope is one of my favourite. Russell is a college student, a hockey player and a single dad of a little girl. He has so many things on his plate he doesn't even imagine he could have a relationship. When he met Sabrina, a fellow student, he uselessly tries to resist their attraction. I liked Sabrina and Russell relationship, they ar

The author crafted a wonderful, amazingly intertwined storylines, with a group of phenomenal hockey player

What Happens in Denver by Liz Crowe

Immagine
Synopsis: Meet Andi Rigby. She and her husband own a famous bar. Andi can mix a cocktail, change a beer keg, soothe ruffled customers, and drink you under the table. Life is good until the day she finds herself divorced and unemployed. After a suitable period of ice-cream and whiskey infused mourning, she heads to a beer conference in Denver on a mission to rediscover her joy and find a new job. Between fielding gossip, saving a drunk woman from herself, and dodging a hot but ill-advised boozy hookup, the weekend leads to a few surprises. She ends up employed with an unexpected bonus—a new friend. Oh, and the guy she kissed? Turns out her new job includes selling his brewery's beer. No big deal. Except the bit about him being practically perfect for her at a moment she's determined to focus on her own success. A story of new friends, fresh starts, and a side order of romance served up with a nice cold pint. Review: What Happens in Denver is an incredibly good story, with an a

Delayed Penalty by Jami Davenport

Immagine
Synopsis: Jasper: I ran away from my family, my upbringing, my background, and her. I made hockey my sole purpose in life and mended my broken heart. We were divorced years ago. Imagine my shock when I find out I'm wrong--about everything. Blaire: I've dedicated myself to being a world-class dressage rider at the expense of the only man I've ever loved. When I discover our divorce was never finalized, I go to Seattle to rectify the mistake only to realize I've never stopped loving him. Our disastrous marriage will be over in three months. There's one problem--do we want it to be? Review: Delayed Penalty is book seven in the Scoring series, it could be read as a sand-alone, and so far I've enjoyed every book Jami Davenport published. Jasper is a hockey player, Blaire is a dressage rider, they married at a very young age when they weren't so keen to take into accounts of the needs of the other, so their marriage derailed after only one year. Now years passed

His counteroffer is a trip to Venice… Might discovering Venice’s delights together rekindle the still-simmering desire that drew Rose to Jamie as a starry-eyed young American heiress? Review: Winning Back His Duchess tells Rose and Jamie's journey to go back to each other...will they rekindle their love or isn't there an happily ever after for them? I've read the previous books in the Dollar Duchesses series and I thought Rose was the luckiest girl in the world, she found a kindred soul in a new country and she quickly married him. Oh my how I was wrong, I felt pretty bad for them, because they have gone through so many hardles and nasty predicaments that undermined their relat
