Sweet Love and Country Roads by Camilla Isley

Synopsis:

Falling for the wrong cowboy never felt so good . . .

Samantha Baker is a high-flying movie producer living in New York City. She loves her shoes, drinking cosmopolitans, and wouldn’t trade the comforts of city life for anything in the world. But when her job is put on the line, Samantha has no other choice than to move to the middle of nowhere to straighten out the filming of her latest romantic comedy blockbuster.

Her new country home has no Starbucks, no Pilates, and the one pub in town has never heard of appletinis—only serves beer and whiskey neat. On the plus side, the views are scenic. And not just for the aerial shots, as the local eye-candy provides a welcome distraction.

At least until Samantha discovers a native cowboy, Travis Hunt, is the source of all her troubles...

And the battle begins.

Each has something the other wants, but as Samantha and Travis go head to head, they might discover the endgame has changed. When hate turns to heat, all becomes fair in love and war for these two sworn enemies who’ve been playing a game of hearts.

But will a roll in the hay be enough to make Samantha decide there’s no sex in the city and convert to country living?

Review:

Samantha Baker is a new yorker, she loves the city, the busy sidewalks and the noises too, so she is utterly annoyed when her boss sends her on the set of their latest rom com in a small town of Indiana to solve the problems that halt the shooting.
On the way from the airport to her bed & breakfast she encounters her first obstacle, a cow stucked in the middle of the road, she tries to make it move but the animal doesn't want until it listen the sound coming from the lips of a cowboy. Travis Hunt is a cowboy, among other things, and that won't be the only time he sees Samantha.

Samantha and Travis live in two worlds apart, but maybe not too far as I expected. These characters surprised me, I wanted to dislike the city woman attitude towards the country people, but as I got to know Samantha better I found she is a strong, lovable woman. Travis is a kind, resolute man who does everything to help his town. They were istantly attracted to each other but they refrein to act on their desire because they don't really get along. In the end they are a well matched couple that will bring out the best of each other.

Camilla Isley once again told a light, romantic story that breach in your heart, giving you joy and pleasure thank to an easy and amusing writing..

Sweet Love and Country Roads played out in my mind like a movie, the town of Emerald Creek sounds a nice place to rest and recharge, I throughly recommend to read it.
